Test and Approvals Engineer – Enigma People Solutions

Enigma People Solutions is working with a leading engineering firm on an exciting project developing advanced electronic control systems for precision movement and load handling in demanding environments. We are looking for a Test and Approvals Engineer to play a key role in validating these systems and ensuring they meet the highest safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans to ensure compliance with EN280 and ISO 13849 safety standards.
Perform environmental and regulatory testing for IP67, EMC, FCC, and CE marking.
Document validation and approvals processes to meet project and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
Coordinate with third-party certification bodies as required.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in test and compliance engineering within industrial or mobile equipment sectors.
Strong knowledge of EN280, ISO 13849, and functional safety principles.
Hands-on experience with IP ratings, EMC compliance, and FCC approvals.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Functional Safety certification (e.g., TÜV) highly desirable.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA).
