Key Responsibilities

● Spearhead the enhancement of our systems and processes to guarantee a smooth transfer from design to worldwide production.
● Introduce effective production workflows and documentation to maintain quality control and conformity to standards.
● Identify and resolve production process issues and quality events.
● Collaborate closely with development teams to advocate for manufacturing and assembly considerations throughout the design and development stages.
● Work hand-in-hand with suppliers and the manufacturing team to select new equipment and oversee quality of purchased inventory.
● Establish and implement build instructions and BoMs for new products, while supporting new assembly line setup.
● Formulate manufacturing requirements and QA methods based on product and business needs.
● Drive the recognition of assembly hazards, failure modes, and project risks.
● Identify optimizations in the product design and build for efficiency, consistency and cost reduction.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

● BEng/MEng in Manufacturing Engineering or related subjects.
● 5+ years’ experience in a role producing electro-mechanical products.
● Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing and quality processes.
● Demonstrated success releasing and supporting low and high volume manufacturing.
● Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methodologies (Lean, JIT, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0).
● Experience working to a global standard for quality management e.g. ISO 9001.
● Hands-on setup of fabrication equipment and/or assembly line areas.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

● Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
● CNC industrial machinery scoping and installation.
● Manufacture for regulated markets (medical, automotive, defence).
● Production of products requiring software integration during test and EOL commissioning.
● Jig and fixture design for electro-mechanical products.
● Failure, hazard and risk analysis.
● Mains powered industrial equipment.
● Experience using ERP, MRP and PLM software for data management.
● Understanding of assembly operator safety and ergonomics.
● Metrology and inspection tool experience.
● Product/technical documentation software e.g. Solidworks Composer
