Enigma People Solutions is excited to recruit a Sales Manager to help our growing Laser R&D client in Edinburgh.  
This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on the fortunes of the business by winning new clients globally.

The role

To further support the growth and development of the business by working alongside an established sales and marketing team on targeted campaigns within niche sectors. You will facilitate discussions with new leads, negotiate deals, and generate and close direct sales to new and existing industrial and academic customers. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the customer database
  • Manage the overall relationship with customers; negotiate sales contracts, maintain forecasts, and oversee scheduling and service queries
  • Develop sales reporting processes and documentation
  • Report monthly to the Board of Directors on sales, sales forecasts and scheduling matters
  • Work alongside the CEO in formulating the Company’s sales strategy
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and rapport with distributors: negotiate discounts, manage sales contracts, maintain forecasts, and oversee scheduling and answer service queries
  • Identify new products and business development opportunities
  • Travel nationally and internationally to build and maintain customer relationships and represent the Company at conferences
  • Effectively contribute to the overall performance of the Company

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience of growing sales of a Photonics related or similar technical product
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise deadlines
  • Skilled at collaborating effectively with different departments, including engineering teams
  • Self-motivated and resourceful - able to assess a situation and independently take action to address the issue

This is a full time position that is expected to be carried out in person in office with hybrid working an option
