Are you experienced at managing the daily operational activities of a Company?
If so, Enigma People Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Director.

This is an opportunity to work in one of the UKs leading product design & development consultancies and to use your experience to bring real improvements/efficiencies into the project workflow. You will be able to make a real difference in influencing the profitability of company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated, and productive, by managing its procedures and coaching its people. With a continual focus on quality & regulatory requirements you will take on the operational lead role for multi-disciplinary teams involving product design, mechanics, electronics, software, and liaising with in-house engineers/designers and engineering partners to support full-lifecycle product development.

To succeed in this job, multi-market product development experience (which includes consumer and/or regulated products such as medical or similar) would be a great advantage. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many kinds of operational activities. You must be an excellent and proven leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the operational side of the business.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven track record, and able to demonstrate success in the development of technology products to the medical device market
  • A solid engineering background with proven experience as an Operations Director or equivalent position. 
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities. 
  • Outstanding communication and people skills. 
  • Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines. 
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles e.g., design and development, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, customer service etc. 
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. 
  • Technical/Management qualification.

Key Responsibilities
As Operations Director you will be responsible for:
• Contributing to Company strategy relating to all operational areas of the business to ensure that the Company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the operational side of the business to ensure smooth progress.
• Supervise staff from different technical disciplines and provide constructive feedback.
• Regularly evaluating the efficiency of business procedures according to organisational objectives, identify and apply improvements.
• Overseeing customer support processes and organise them to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Reviewing financial information and adjusting operational budgets to promote profitability.
• Evaluating overall performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics.
• Revising and/or formulating policies and promoting their implementation.
• Managing relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
• Ensuring that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
